Introducing HealthFirst of Chiropractor Dr. Hendricks

“I’ll be the first to admit, when I was younger, I was quite a skeptic of chiropractic.  In hindsight, I realized that was mostly out of ignorance and just plain lack of understanding,” said Dr. Mike. “It took until my college days when I experienced lower back pain like I had never had before, to put my skepticism to rest.  After visiting the chiropractor, the pain subsided, and a new passion within me began to burn,” he stated.

Dr. Mike completed his pre-Chiropractic studies at the University of South Dakota, majoring in biology with an emphasis in athletic training.  He then began studying at Northwestern Health Sciences University leading towards a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  The coursework was comparable to the curriculum found at most medical schools, with an additional emphasis on the spine and joint function.   As he developed his strong scientific foundation, he began to learn the philosophy and art of the chiropractic profession as taught by many of the profession’s foremost experts.

Through his education and extensive attention to personal development, Dr. Hendricks began to see the vision that God had made him specifically for the task of affecting the lives of thousands.  He realized his greatest satisfaction was not only found in changing the lives of his patients, but in doing that, changing the lives of their children, their marriages, and their families in general.

Dr. Mike Hendricks and FamilyDr. Hendricks and his wife Stacy have a very lively and exciting household with their three children: Simon (3yrs old), Molly and Emma (2 yrs old).  This has opened a whole new passion and focus in his practice as he strives to help thousands of young children, to ensure they receive the very best start in this world as possible.

Dr. Hendricks Asks some important questions of interest to Watertown residents - Chiropractor Watertown Dr. Hendricks Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
